AI4DH welcomes two visiting researchers

On 1 September 2026, two visiting researchers joined the European Centre of Excellence in AI for Digital Humanities: Sofia Darbesio, a PhD candidate in Urban and Regional Development at Politecnico di Torino, and Andrés G. Covilla, a PhD Fellow in Leadership and Organisation at Kristiania University Norway.

Sofia Darbesio is addressing the challenge of fragmented construction documentation. Her research uses digital methods to process architectural documentation and support dialogue among stakeholders.

Andrés G. Covilla is examining how business leaders communicate on digital platforms. Drawing on computational methods, his research shows that founders’ social media posts using simpler syntax and vocabulary tend to receive higher engagement.

In the coming months, the visiting researchers will use AI4DH’s computational infrastructure and collaborate with the researchers to improve their workflow and apply state-of-the-art AI methods in their humanities research.
