Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme – Call for the Expression of Interest

The European Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence for Digital Humanities (CoE AI4DH) invites postdoctoral researchers to apply for Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF) with CoE AI4DH as their host institution.

What is an The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship?

The Marie-Skłodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship is a post-doc research and training programme that enables fellows to acquire new skills and competences by working on a specific research project in a new environment and through collaboration with both the academic and non-academic sectors. The programme is open to all fields of research.

One proposal, two opportunities:

The European Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence for Digital Humanities is located at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Slovenia is classified as a Widening country, an EU Member State with below-average performance in research and innovation (R&I). Through Horizon Europe, the EU aims to reduce this gap by providing additional funding, networking opportunities, and capacity-building measures to these countries. One such measure is linked to the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships. If you apply for an MSCA-PF with a host institution in Slovenia, you are automatically also considered for an ERA Fellowship.

The ERA Fellowship builds on the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship scheme and is open to researchers who wish to carry out a research project by moving to a Widening country within the EU.

→ This means that with a single application, you are considered for two funding opportunities, increasing your chances of success.

Our topics of interest include but are not limited to:

  • Natural language processing tools for historical newspaper analysis
  • Comparative analysis of historical newspaper collections
  • Producing semantics data and evaluation datasets from lexical resources
